My name is Stephanie Howarth and I am a qualified and registered Clinical Hypnotherapist. My qualifications were obtained through the London College of Clinical Hypnosis (www.lcch.co.uk) and I am an associate member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis, one of the most highly regarded registers of Hypnotherapists. I also have a NHS provider number so that your GP can specifically refer you to me (contact me for further details)
I have a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology, obtained at the University of Plymouth, which is where my interest in Hypnosis began. My dissertation concentrated on Cognitive Psychology examining the way we learn consciously and unconsciously.
Research suggests that we learn many things without conscious awareness and that unconscious learning affects both our behaviour and decision making. This can be negatively in our bad or unwanted habits and phobias or positively in self-confidence and well being.
Hypnotherapy can help undo the negatives in your subconscious, unlearn unwanted behaviours and attitudes as well as help motivate and reinforce the positives.
